Cranberry scones



Cranberry Scones (makes 8)

2 cups (500ml) flour
1/2 tsp (2.5ml) salt
2 tsp (10ml) baking powder
2 Tbsp (30ml) margarine
1 cup (250ml) dried cranberries
3/4 cup (180ml) milk
  • mix dry ingredients, rub in margarine
  • mix in cranberries
  • cut in milk
  • roll in a ball and flatten like a pizza, slice into 8 wedges
  • bake on a greased baking sheet at 200°C (390°f) for 10 minutes
delicious served with jam and cream or grated cheese!

I am sure it tastes as good as it looks. Riaan ordered Malva poeding last night, but I must say Ive enjoyed that just as much!

I saw this way to cut them on a cooking show on tv, I love the wedge shape! The longest part of this recipe is waiting for the oven to heat up!
