I went to tea with a friend last week and we went to Anja's Tea Garden
It was my first time going there, and it was lovely! Its just a few minutes from my home but it feels like you are far away, the garden is full and well established, and it situated on top of a hill so you feels like you are miles away from the traffic and real life.
Tea was served in beautiful teapots and tea cups - I recognise these Maxwell Williams sets! And a little slice of jam tart/crumble? ... not sure but it was good!
We sat outside and dotted in the paving are these lovely mosaic collages, bits of broken crockery, marbles and ceramic words and pictures are all embedded in the ground. Everywhere you look there is something to catch your eye!
We had scones with our tea, they were good! They came buttered with jam, cream and cheese ... can you see the rose petal balanced on the cream? And how the board they served it on was dusted with icing sugar ... I'm not sure what they used to create the patterns, a doily maybe?
The attention to detail was lovely.
And finally this was how the bill arrived - in a box! Isnt it cute?
Im definitely going back, it was quiet and pleasant and just what I needed :)
